The Adkins Family
The Adkins Family of Dallas participated in foster parent training hosted by Embrace earlier this year. With Lauren 6, and Cade 4, and expecting a baby in February, their Chevy Suburban feels a little smaller every day. But the Adkins have enough love to go around, and are excited to open their home to a child in need. They are now licensed foster parents hoping to add to their family through adoption.
Once content with two children, the Adkins now dream of the pitter-patter of little feet… lots of little feet. So, Alan spends the weekend putting together a pair of matching cribs, while Megan scours Ebay for unisex bedding.
Congratulations to the Adkins family on the arrival of Beckham James Adkins, Feb 3, 2009! Weighing in at a scrappy 8 lbs. 3 oz. and making his first appearance at the Allen Birthing Center in late afternoon, baby Beckham was a hit with Big Sister Lauren and Big Brother Cade.
