Our regularly scheduled events are open to all. Advanced registration is required for events where childcare is provided. All childcare is provided by employees and volunteers who have an up to date background check on file.
Respite Nights
A biannual respite event for foster, adoptive and kinship families in need of a break. Embrace hosts a night of respite for parents to go on a date, spend one-on-one time with a child or simply run some errands uninterrupted. While parents are resting, kids will be playing in a highly interactive and educational environment that is safe and fun. Families in the Park
Events held regularly each year for foster and adoptive families, as well as Embrace volunteers, and those interested in becoming involved in one of these areas. A time of fun and fellowship for all. Locations vary.
DADS (McKinney, TX)
This monthly event is open to men of all ages— Adoptive dads, foster dads, grandparents, fathers and sons. Discussion topics vary month to month. Takes place on the 3rd Thursday of each month at Fuzzy's Tacos in McKinney (on the southwest corner of Eldorado and Hwy. 75 off Craig Dr.) from 8:00-9:30 pm. No children, please.
Coffee Shop Moms (McKinney, TX)
This monthly event is for ladies dreaming of motherhood, and those up to their elbows in toddlers, fostering, adopting, waiting, grandmothers, and any mother who would enjoy an evening of chatting and fellowship. Parenting topics discussed each month. This event takes place on the first Thursday of each month at La Madeline Bistro in McKinney on Highway 75 and Eldorado (in the back room) from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. No advanced reservation required. No children, please.
A Mom's Heart (Frisco, TX)
A monthly event for women experiencing the joys and challenges of foster care and adoption parenting. Parenting topics discussed each month. This event takes place on the third Tuesday of each month at La Madeline Bistro in Frisco on Highway 121 and Parkwood (in the back room) from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. No advanced reservation required. No children, please.
Moms of Adopted Teens (McKinney, TX)
Each month, women gather together to share and encourage one another in raising older children from foster care or adoption. This group usually meets at the Taco Cabana on the southwest corner of Hwy 75 & 380 at 7:30 on the last Monday of the month.
