Embrace Visitation Playroom
Because Brothers and Sisters Belong TOGETHER!

Did you know over 70% of children entering foster care are part of a group of siblings?
In Spring 2021 we will expand our services and facility to provide sibling visits to children separated from their brothers and sisters in foster care. These visits are vital to reunification efforts and help sustain sibling relationships when children are placed in separate foster homes or facilities. Only 1 in 3 children who enter foster care in Texas will be reunited with their parent or caregiver.. While Embrace is hard at work recruiting foster and adoptive families to overcome a shortage in our community that causes siblings to be divided, there are still hundreds of local families broken apart in foster care.
Our McKinney location is ideal for CASA , Child Protective Services, and local child placing agencies to refer clients for visitation services at our office (at no cost to clients or referring agencies). The space is comprised of two adjoining rooms that will be outfitted as a playroom and dining/kitchenette area. This sensory-friendly space will provide the safety and privacy needed to nurture the priceless relationships between these brothers and sisters in the midst of unspeakable trauma. A place of calm and connection.
