Restore Texas Families is a network of Christian ministries and bridge organizations encouraging foster care, adoption and family restoration in Texas.
Mission: Identify, organize, and equip church leaders and local bridge organizations from across the State of Texas to improve outcomes for foster, adopted, and at-risk children.
Philosophy: The Body of Christ (the Christian Church) is uniquely equipped and mandated to care for for foster, adopted, and at-risk children. It is our philosophy that a combination of grass-roots efforts by individual churches, church-based ministries, lay-leaders, and local faith-based bridge organizations can create a united voice for child welfare advocacy and measurable, positive impact on outcomes for children in our State. The annual Restore Gathering is a platform for the exchange of ideas and best practices. Gatherings provide the opportunity for fellowship, growth and training.
Leadership: Restore Texas Families is led by a volunteer steering committee of individuals who have all led ministries in their churches, are foster, adoptive or kinship parents or adoptees, and who envision a day when the State of Texas is a safe place for children. These passionate volunteers give of their time to plan and facilitate the gatherings and advocacy efforts of this group.
