Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.

By telling us a bit about yourself and how you want to get involved, we can recommend volunteer opportunities that are the right fit for you, your small group, or organization, or congregation. Take a few minutes to complete the form to the left, and one of our staff members will get back to you with a variety of upcoming and ongoing ways to serve. You can also peruse specific volunteer opportunities below.

Individuals who wish to work directly with children must have an approved background check through Sterling Volunteers. Volunteers are a vital part of our regularly scheduled events and programs. Most opportunities take place in Collin County and surrounding area. On occasion, there may be tasks that can be completed by volunteers in their homes or with the help of their children.

small groups or businesses

Youth groups, service organizations, community groups, sports teams and businesses are welcome to volunteer with Embrace. Some tasks and projects can take place at your location, or at the Embrace office in McKinney. Groups may choose to serve together at Embrace programs and events. We always take into consideration the unique gifts and talents of your volunteer team.

The Body of Christ is uniquely designed and called to care for children in our community. Embrace was founded to help churches wrap around and support foster and adoptive families in their communities. Members of your congregation can serve at Embrace events or programs, or we can help your church develop your own ministry and programs.

help teens "aging-out" of foster care

This year over 300 teens will “age-out” of foster care in our community. You can host a donation drive to collect new items for “first apartment kits”, or choose to go out and purchase the items on your own. This is a great opportunity for small groups, community groups, and families. We will provide you with a list of items.
