Mom’s Retreat FAQs

Who can attend?

This retreat is for moms who are currently parenting through adoption, foster care (licensed or in the licensing process), or kinship care (currently caring for a relative child in their home).

Individuals exploring foster care/adoption or who have not begun the licensing process are not eligible to attend. Registrations submitted by someone who does not meet the eligibility criteria will be canceled, and the registration fee will not be refunded.

Can I earn training hours?

Yes. Attendees may earn up to 12 hours of training credit with their licensing agency.

What is the schedule like?

The retreat includes main speaker sessions, fellowship, worship, and built-in time for rest and relaxation. Because free time is intentionally part of the weekend, attendees are asked to commit to attending the main speaker sessions.

What is the refund policy?

If you cancel up to 30 days before the event, you will receive a refund minus a $25 administrative fee. Within 30 days of the event, registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

What is this about arriving early?

When you register, you’ll have the opportunity to say you are interested in paying $60 to arrive early and stay Thursday night. While no programming or meals are provided before Friday evening, this is a great opportunity to settle in, relax, and extend your getaway. Please note: this is the only way to arrive before the official retreat begins on Friday evening, and space is limited. We recommend discussing plans ahead of time with your preferred roommates and/or anyone you plan to carpool with.

Can I bring my spouse, kids, or pets?

We love your kids, spouses, adult children, and pets... but this weekend is a little break from all of those blessings. Check out our website to learn more about events and programs serving children, families, and couples.
