Guided by faith

Embrace Texas exists to reflect God’s heart for vulnerable, neglected, marginalized, abused and abandoned children. Our faith is what drives our commitment to excellence as we care for our neighbors. We do not require attendance or participation in religious/faith activities as a condition of service delivery, nor do we require adherence to religious/faith beliefs as a condition of service.

Staff, Board Members, and Core Volunteers of Embrace affirm a Statement of Faith consistent with Christian Evangelical teachings and beliefs. This Statement of Faith is available by request to applicants for these positions and roles.

Rooted in truth, grounded in love

Colossians 2:6-7  “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the father as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”

Messaging and curriculum at Embrace events, speaking engagements, training, and programs for adults and children often include Biblically-based messaging and content. It is our desire that all all clients have the information they need to decide if programming is a good fit for their family, or aligns with their personal beliefs. Please contact our staff if you have questions about specific program content or curriculum, or to request a copy of our full Statement of Faith.

Who we serve

Embrace proudly serves foster and adoptive families licensed with any child placing agency, at-risk children and their caregivers, kinship care providers, and foster care alumni. While our primary focus is Collin County, we serve families across North Texas (DFPS Region 3).

A majority of our clients are low-income children and families, and their caregivers. Most of our services and programs are provided at no cost, low-cost, or with the possibility of scholarship based on need.

Honoring all members of the adoption triad

While our work is child-focused, we recognize the significance and role of each member of the adoption triad. This triad includes an adoptee, adoptive parents, and family of origin or birthparents. We are intentional about including the voices of all parties in our programming and training. Embrace encourages openness in adoption whenever safe, possible, and beneficial to the child.

Facility usage policy

On rare occasions, Embrace may grant usage or rental of ministry property/space to outside entities. Each request is considered on a case-by-case basis by Embrace staff and board members. Requesting agencies should:

  • Use facilities and equipment with care for purposes and messaging aligned/not at odds with Embrace’s Statement of Faith and philosophy of service
  • Be in good standing with Embrace
  • Agree to usage and janitorial fees (if applicable)
