Bruce Kendrick - Executive Director
Bruce and his wife, Denise, co-founded Embrace in 2007. Bruce was licensed and
ordained in 2005 by the First Baptist Church of Frisco and attended Southwestern
Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He regularly advocates for
neglected and abused children at the various levels of government and consults
with church staff and lay leaders across the United States equipping them to build
foster and adoption ministries in their local communities.
Bruce was born in Houston, Texas and grew up in Frisco, Texas. He and Denise
are the proud parents of 9 children and 3 grandchildren.
Denise Kendrick - Director of Programs
Denise and her husband, Bruce, co-founded Embrace in 2007. Denise graduated
from the University of North Texas and regularly contributes to Fostering Families
Today, develops and oversees programs for children and families, and creates
resources to equip churches to care for those in their communities.
Denise was born in Austin, Texas and grew up in Coppell, Texas. She and Bruce are
the proud parents of 9 children and 3 grandchildren.
Amber Fulton - Director of Development
Amber joined Embrace in March 2016 to oversee our development events and strategically
organize the financial growth of the ministry. She brings a wealth of knowledge gleaned
from more than 20 years of service with nonprofit organizations in both volunteer and
professional capacities. Amber holds a Bachelor’s of Applied Arts and Sciences from the
University of North Texas and earned a Master’s of Arts in Dispute Resolution from Southern
Methodist University in 2015.
Amber and her husband, Donny, are members at Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco
and live in The Colony. They have 4 children and 3 grandchildren.
Mary Wells - Program Coordinator
Mary joined the Embrace staff in March 2015 to lead local programs supporting foster
and adoptive families, recruiting new homes for foster and adoptable children, and
serving foster youth transitioning out of care. Mary graduated from Southwest
Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri obtaining an education degree.
Mary and her husband are foster and adoptive parents and live in the McKinney area.
Jackie Jones-Nickens - Family Beacon Coordinator
Jackie joined Embrace in March 2017 to lead the Family Beacon initiative. Jackie is from North
Carolina and spent the past 25 years working in social work with the State of North Carolina,
non-profit service providers, and universities. Jackie obtained her masters of social work from
UNC-Chapel Hill and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
Jackie and her husband moved to McKinney in 2015 and are active members at Chase Oaks Church in Plano.
Quenisha Conaway - Lead Administrator
Quenisha joined Embrace in August 2016 to coordinate the administrative needs of the organization each week. When you call or visit the Embrace office, Quenisha will be the first smiling face you meet. Quenisha is from Dallas and currently enrolled at Collin College working to obtain her degree in nursing.
Quenisha is a member at Watermark Community Church in Plano and lives in McKinney.
