Embrace has a vision for a future where EVERY child has a loving, stable home. We’re making this vision a reality by tirelessly championing the cause in our community. In addition to our foster and adoptive parent recruitment and retention efforts, Embrace works to identify adoptive families for specific children in foster care. Each year Embrace hosts a fall and summer “Child to Family Connection” adoption events to aid in the matching of waiting children with adoptive parents.

Join us at “First Steps”, a quarterly informational gathering at the Embrace Office in Historic Downtown McKinney. Sit down with our staff and hear more about:
The differences between private infant adoption, international adoption, fostering to adopt, and straight adoption from foster care
Requirements to become a licensed foster or adoptive parent in Texas
How to start the licensing process
Things to consider when selecting a child placing agency
Honest answers to your questions and concerns about opening your home

Please register by clicking on the date above when you would like to attend and completing the linked form. First Steps gatherings take place whether we have 2 guests or 10. This gathering is open to couples or individuals-please also register your spouse if he or she is coming. We also have a small adjoining play room for any little ones that may need come along. When you serve with your church small group you’re doing good for the community, and good for your group. Working alongside one another is a galvanizing experience, as is celebrating the collective impact your group creates. Volunteer groups of 6-12 individuals are the ideal size for many of Embrace’s events and programs. Please consider the opportunities listed on the calendar below, but we’re also open to working with you to identify specific dates or ways you’d like to serve.
Portraits of Hope

The vision of Embrace is a loving, stable home for every child, and the Portraits of Hope gallery is just one way we are working to make that vision a reality. You can be a part of finding adoptive families for children lingering in foster care. The gallery would not be possible without the financial support of congregations in our community who care about kids.
